His dedication and hard work were further demonstrated through his achievements in cross country, where he became the team MVP and qualified for states.
He attended Slippery Rock University for its affordability and strong computer science program, recognizing the pivotal role of technology in the future. Through dual enrollment during high school, Benjamin earned many college credits, giving him significant academic freedom in course selection. He used this opportunity to explore a wide range of classes, building a solid foundation in computer science.
These courses included programming languages such as C# and Python, computer graphics, web development, mobile app development, machine learning, and server-side scripting. Benjamin took these classes alongside core computer science courses, which helped him develop a comprehensive understanding of the field. During this time, he also worked as a waiter, further enhancing his communication skills.
While at Slippery Rock, Benjamin completed various side projects and activities to gain practical experience. He constructed and published a website for a small business, conducted research on topic modeling and large language models for a professor, and tutored peers in foundational computer science courses.
Recently, he secured an internship at Advanced Technology Partners in Ohio. Benjamin is eager to collaborate with this esteemed technology company and continue developing his skills and knowledge in the field.
